MiTek Industries: Providing a Consistent Global Experience with Ektron
MiTek Industries is the world's leading supplier of state-of-the-art engineered products and services for the building components industry. They have over 40 content editors worldwide, but only one Ektron developer on staff. MiTek needed an “easy button” approach to provide content editors with the flexibility and features to launch new sites with a low level of effort for corporate IT. MiTek worked with TerpSys, an elite implementation partner, to build a starter site that can be used for future European Union sites. Stakeholders from Europe have quickly embraced the new
starter sites. To date, MiTek has launched
two new sites using the platform, and IT is extremely happy with the corporate
buy in on the project.
Goals of the Project:
- Virtual Environment - Updates to one site will be available to all sites without having to make changes in multiple places.
- Increased Flexibility - Administrators now have the ability to update
configuration settings without having to write code.
- Language Translation - Administrators have the ability to translate all portions of the site into the languages of their regions.
