TerpSys Launches UASK Mobile App for MCSR

Men Can Stop Rape (MCSR) needed a way to allow college students to get immediate access to information needed in the event of a sexual assault. MCSR approached TerpSys to develop a mobile app for Android and iOS to fulfill this need.



TerpSys helped MCSR define the strategy and implement the UASK mobile app, which included:

• Sitefinity (CMS) Integration: App content is powered by Sitefinity which allows for easy content management and removes the need to deploy a new app version whenever content changes.
• Solution Architecture: Data is cached locally so users can access content regardless of cellular coverage.
• Functionality:
  • Immediate access to 911 from every screen of the app.
  • Phone contacts are synced with the app, allowing the user to immediately send messages and emergency/medical information to selected contacts via text message.
  • GPS integration to provide your specific location to pre-specified contacts.
