TerpSys recognized by Greater DC Cares with the "My Business Cares" Seal of Social Responsibility
(Bethesda, Maryland) - TerpSys was recognized by Greater DC Cares with the "My Business Cares" Seal of Social Responsibility at the 9th Annual Greater Washington Philanthropy Summit.
"It is an overwhelming honor to be included on a list with these great companies and be able to consider ourselves peers in regards to philanthropy, community service, and social responsibility," said Ed Woods, President and CEO. "We take our responsibility of being a good corporate citizen very seriously."
Baseline Criteria for My Business Cares Seal
For large businesses (more than 50 employees and $20 million in annual revenue), awarded the My Business Cares Seal if the company does at least two of the following activities:
During working hours, perform at least 1,350 hours of volunteer service per year. Volunteer activities that qualify are individual and group volunteer projects, company-supported participation on a nonprofit board, and skills-based volunteering such as pro bono legal consulting.
Donate minimum of $250,000 annually to local 501c(3) organizations.
Donate in-kind goods or services to local 501c(3) organizations, valued at $65,000 or more.
